Making new friends

We have been so busy adapting to our new environment that we totally neglected our family blog. Moving to a new country or city is not easy....even if South Africa is a really easy country to get used to (just consider the blessed weather, the fact that everybody speaks English, the comfortable houses, the beauty of the country and the nice yummy food and wine). However, the beginnings in any given new situation are always challenging and during the first few months, we were truly missing and appreciating our super good friends in HK and our family, the support system, the fact that everybody knew us and profound bonds had been created. The camaraderie, the love, the respect we were given and was taken for granted. Well, in South Africa as well, we have been really lucky and our experiences with South Africans have been very positive so far. People are hospitable, generous and willing to reach out, very much like Spaniards. We thank our new friends for welcoming us into their lives!
